Legislative Decree No. 116 of 2020 introduced the obligation of environmental labelling for packaging.
To support companies, CONAI has developed the “Etichetta CONAI” platform dedicated to this topic, which brings together tools such as, for example, the Guidelines on mandatory environmental labelling. These are the result of joint work with the Italian Packaging Institute and the involvement of a large number of stakeholders from the associative and industrial world, and they propose a shared interpretation of the regulation as a useful technical reference.
Guidelines for voluntary environmental labelling are also available, representing a useful support for many companies that have approached this new requirement as an opportunity to also review the set of voluntary environmental information to be included on their packaging.
In addition, CONAI also provides the “e-tichetta Tool”, a tool designed to help companies identify the information needed to correctly build their environmental label.
