Rinascimento per l’Ambiente

Campaign details

With the art of recycling, packaging becomes a masterpiece.

The human being at the centre of the world – that is the Renaissance. And that same concept inspires the CONAI project “Rinascimento per l’Ambiente”, emphasising the importance of human action in relation to the environment we inhabit and have the duty to protect.

The project presents 14 works inspired by Renaissance portraiture, narrated by journalist and art critic Nicolas Ballario.

It pays homage to packaging, which should no longer be considered waste. Instead, it is a valuable resource that becomes a masterpiece within the metaphor of art.

For 25 years, thanks to recycling, CONAI has been giving new life to packaging and to the planet.

Episode 1: Plastic

Episode 1: Plastic

Thanks to recycling, plastic packaging can be reborn, giving life to new objects. When packaging is reborn, the planet is reborn too. This is the Renaissance of packaging according to CONAI, now 25 years strong.

Episode 2: Wood

Episode 2: Wood

The human figure is central in Renaissance art, just as in recycling: because the rebirth of packaging, including wooden packaging, depends on our small daily actions like correct separate collection.

Episode 3: Aluminium

Episode 3: Aluminium

Renaissance portraiture reflects a profound human desire for eternal life. Just like aluminium packaging, which can be recycled 100% and infinitely, avoiding waste and protecting the environment.

Episode 4: Steel

Episode 4: Steel

Steel packaging as status symbols in Renaissance portraits? Yes indeed, because according to the philosophy of the circular economy, packaging is not waste but a precious material, like a jewel, that can be endlessly recycled and used to create new items.

Episode 5: Bioplastic

Episode 5: Bioplastic

In art as in recycling, details matter. Always look for the symbols on bioplastic bags that certify their authenticity: only real bioplastic bags can be reused for collecting organic kitchen waste, which then becomes compost – a valuable fertiliser for the soil.

Episode 6: Paper and cardboard

Episode 6: Paper and cardboard

Renaissance portraits celebrate human beings, depicting their essence and uniqueness. We all have only one life, but paper and cardboard – when correctly recycled – can have many, helping to protect the planet, which, like us, has only one.

Episode 7: Glass

Episode 7: Glass

In the Renaissance, as in recycling, perspective is everything. Can glass packaging be considered precious? It depends on your point of view: glass can be endlessly recycled, which is gold for the environment.
