Reseach and technological innovation by Sealed Air in the Instapak® foam packaging sector resulted in a significant reduction of weight and volume of packages in polyurethane foam. The intervention reduced the weight of the Instapak® polyurethane foam by approximately 47%. These changes also involved cardboard packaging, and thanks to changes in the packaging materials used to wrap the product, it was possible to reduce the weight by 26% and the volume by 46%.
